Among the things I didn't know possible and never imagined I'd ever see ... milking a killer whale.

The mother wasn't feeding her calf properly so the aquarists took over. In order to do so...they had to milk mom. Video of the baby being bottle-fed also available along with the video below at ZooBorns, the newest and cutest exotic animals from zoos and aquariums around the world...AKA, my daily dose of SQUEEE!

Butter Cup was napping so peacefully...then Silhouette showed up.

Got bored and started browsing Flickr for cat photos. Lots of really great photos but the caption on this one made me laugh. Even better, it's from the Richmond Animal Protection Society (RAPS), a charity that operates two shelters in Richmond BC Canada. The first shelter is the largest cat sanctuary in North America with over 800 cats currently calling it home. Chippy...you think we have too many cats?!

There's even a lookout kitty posted on the chair!
